Good luck, most of the classic General aviation stuff is waaayyy out of the limelight. I've been wanting to see something like the old straight tail 170's, or even the round tail versions from the 50's.

A buddy of mine that has a 1955 Cessna 170B out in California is building a Wendell Hostetler 170 right now. It's his first project back after not really modeling for the last several years.

My family owned a 1952 Cessna 170B for 25 years, and my wife and I will hopefully be buying the airplane before too much longer. I'm probably the biggest 170 nut on the planet, but I'm not sure that I'd want to do a 170 as a scale model. I have my mind set on a straight tail 172 with a DA 200 or similar. My father's first airplane was a 1958 Cessna 172, and I think that would make a neat scale subject. I have never put much thought into a 1948 Cessna 170...I think that would actually be a cool subject to model.

Regarding a 140, I'm not aware of any kits available. Manzano Laser works has some airplanes (they have a nice 44" 170B kit by Adrian Britton. I think Pat Tritle may have a 140 kit/plans as well, and I think that Manzano also cuts for him.
