What hard wear is needed to complete this plane that is not included with the kit?

cheers Chris

Just wheels and axels. Everything else is provided. The included hardware is high quality. Titanium push rods, complete fuel tank, ball links...all good. You also need long servo arms. Follow Chris' recommendations.

WH makes a good plane.. I have owned several and you can't beat them for price and quality. That being said you aren't comparing apples to apples here... they really aren't in the same class.

The EF is much larger, comes with everything including pilot / dashboard / wing/stab/canopy bags and the hardware pack is way better than the WH pack that you pay extra for.

The EF flies like no other in this class... pretty hard to beat and after flying one I would def. wait the 2 months for one .... you will thank me later

Two months will not matter to me. I've got at least two more months of Winter to deal with before I even think of flying this plane

Thanks Steve for the setup information.
Sorry I was researching the YAK 110" too and got them mixed up, shi _ happens.
I will be getting them both the YAK 110" in Yellow and black
and the extra 300 in red, white & blue since you & Lee have Yellow & blue.
Hoping MR H. will call in a couple of weeks about the 110" YAK.

The 110 is an awesome plane! The power to weight ratio is spot on with a 100cc motor, and the plane is built light and strong as the other Extreme Flight planes are.....

If you have the equipment such as the motor, servos, etc...you could probably put this plane together in a weekend and have it flying when the weather breaks. It really goes together very quickly.

What tailwheel are you guys using on your EF Extra 300?

Also, is anyone using the suggested 5/32" axles and 3.5" wheels or are you going bigger?

I used a Dubro 1 3/4" for the tail wheel, 5/32" Dubro axles, and 3 1/2" Dubro Tread Lites on the mains (I think the tail was a Tread Lite, too). Haven't flown it, but that's what Chris had in the book. If it sucks, I'll give him a wet willy! I had some 3/16" Dubros, but the holes in the wheels was for 5/32" Had to drill the gear out to get the big part of the Dubro axle in there.

I used a Pete Model tailwheel with PSP axels (drilled out the LG) and 4" Kavans. Had to enlarge the opening of the pants a fair amount but I didnt feel like waiting on wheels

Here's another odd question, did you use mix milled fiberglass in with the epoxy for the control horns or no?

On my 88" Yak. I got some Micro Balloons from SIG,I believe. And mixed the epoxy with that..Milled Fiberglass Im sure would work also.

Only on the rudder I think that's the only place it was called for. Just straight epoxy on everything else. I was expecting some voids or something on the rudder horns, but it was a tight fit. I don't think I needed the milled glass, but I still used it per the instructions.

I used the milled fiberglass on all the control horns. I figured it couldn't hurt, rather be safe than sorry. Those are some huge control surfaces on that bird.
