In the instruction manual, I see the aileron servo arms listed as 1.5", I'm guessing the elevators are the same? And rudder is 4" offset SWB, so I think the elevator arms are all I'm not seeing.

That is really light for a plane that size. My 50cc EF Yak came in a little heavier than that. But still flys awesome!

SnaprollJ ohn, nice Cuda! Way back in the late 70's when I built many Sig Kadets, they were all yellow and red! I used to buy Monokote in bulk and even build planes for my dad and friends.... it was kinda funny thinking back on it, and your plane reminded me of that. Sometimes it is good to remember the good ol' days and why we got into this hobby. I like the looks of this EF Extra, too. I haven't had a straight 300 since my Goldberg with a G23 on it!

It's just nearly as big as a 30% Carden Extra, and seems like 20# was a good weight for one of those. And not a whole lot more expensive than the 30% kit, seems like (weren't they $500? Been too long).

Aerosheldon - Thanks for the compliment. I really like the Cuda too. Unfortunately, the fleet is getting too large and I am going to have to sell it this year when I get the new EF 300. That is interesting about the red/yellow Kadets. I used to fly gliders and IMO the red/yellow combination is one of the most highly visible color combinations in the air. These days I am inverted more than upright - LOL. I too haven't had an Extra 300 since the Goldberg Extra. I had an O.S. 108 on mine. A G23 would have been a ton of power as the guys at our club were flying them with .60 size 2 strokes on them. Can't wait to get my EF Extra 300.

Chris H. keeps raising the bar with each new release and coming out with bigger planes at a lighter weight to size ratio. Not sure how much $ the 30% Carden kit was, but the Cuda is $600 for the kit. I was told that guy I bought the Cuda from had right at $2,600 in ith R-T-F. You have to really love building and invest a lotta $ for a kit to be built top notch. It is hard to believe that you can buy an ARF (built and covered) for only about $50 more than the price of some 50cc kits!
