Where did you see "Serious condition"? Here what Jayski has to say....

Roush suffers minor injuries in plane crash: NASCAR team owner Jack Roush suffered minor cuts on his head in a plane crash Tuesday evening at Whitman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, WI. Roush was flying his private jet, a Beechcraft Premier 1A from Detroit. The jet made hard contact on landing and cracked the fuselage. Brenda Strickland, a friend of Roush's, also was on board the plane. NASCAR journalist Bob Margolis, who is writing a book about Roush's life, was told that Roush and Strickland were not seriously hurt. "Jack got out and had blood some blood on his face," Margolis said. "Apparently he bumped his head. They both were taken to a local hospital for observation, but I've been told they are OK." Roush, an experienced pilot, suffered serious injuries in a plane crash near Talladega, Ala., in 2002. He was flying his P-51 aircraft when it crashed into a lake. Roush was unconscious and would have drowned, but he was pulled from the water by Larry Hicks, a retired marine who lived nearby and saw the crash. Roush was in Oshkosh for EAA AirVenture, an annual air show.(ESPN)
AND On Tuesday afternoon, a loud bang was heard across Aeroshell Square as a Beechcraft Premier jet pancaked onto the runway and broke in half. No flames or smoke were seen, and rescue crews are were on the scene at about 7 p.m. The tail number shows that the aircraft is registered to Roush Racing. EAA spokesman Dick Knapinski told AVweb that early unconfirmed reports he had heard were that two were people were on board and both were out and standing. A pilot who witnessed the crash told AVweb that the jet appeared to be coming in to land on Runway 18, then seemed to be initiating a go-around when one wing dropped, and the jet fell toward the ground.(see an image of the plane at avweb.com.(7-27-2019)

Well......actually the above was not entirely accurate. When he crashed in alabama......he was not flying his P-51........he was flying an experimental called the Aircam. Its an open cockpit glorified ultralight (a little bigger but totally open framework). He hit a line across a lake and went into the water. In that crash, he almost died.

Some fellow co-workers are there and witnessed everything. They said the two in the jet walked away safely to stretchers where medics took them to the local hospital for minor injuries.

Just what I have heard.

Well I sure am glad that they walked away and appear to be ok. That's a lot better news than some accidents. I'll be in Oshkosh this Friday.

Local news was initially reporting his injuries as serious but stable. I'm glad that was false.

Sorry....not true.....it was an experimental Aircam that he crashed.....not his P-51. I am 100% sure this is correct.

[edit] Accidents

The NTSB lists eight accidents involving Aircams between 1993 and February 2010. In these eight accidents, there was one fatality, one serious injury, one minor injury, and seven people uninjured.[3]
Jack Roush of Nascar team Roush Fenway Racing nearly lost his life after the Aircam he was flying struck a power line and sank in a lake near Troy, Alabama. He was saved in a dramatic rescue by retired marine Larry Hicks.[4]

The pic in this nascar.com article,, says its the remains of the aircraft, and it does look like some sort of a ultralight in his 2002 crash.

It was the AirCam, NOT the P-51.

That was NOT a P-51 that he crashed. See the NTSB report on his first accident here:
