prop for 55 DLE

I have been running Xoar 23x8 beechwood and laminated props and they are working great for me. The problem is they are getting hard to get. Anybody know how a Falcon 23x8 wood prop compares?

Thanks

Yup, will work just fine. Not sure where you are located but I’ve had no issues getting props lately. Have you tried justmodelprops.com? They always have what I want in Xoar or Falcon, wood or carbon. I believe they are the USA distributor.

Thanks, I checked earlier today and I thought they showed out. I'll look again as this is where I usually get them.

Mejzlik 23x8 carbon fiber props will give the best performance, but are pricey.

Here is another one: Vess 23A (23x8) would prop. DA recommended this prop for their 50cc engines and I also used them on my DLE 55s. They performed better than any other wood prop on 3D planes.

If you go carbon fiber then go for the Falcon props.

Several years ago I tried exactly one Vess prop that a guy gave me. I thought it was a bit ugly on my airplane and boy was it loud in the air. I will say that it performed very well. I just couldn’t warm up to the appearance so went back to traditional wood and carbon props.

The 23a does work well, just don't expect any speed out of it.It's like a car that is stuck in third gear, your always looking to shift to 4th,but cant.
If you can afford it try a Falcon 23-8.I they have a good balance between rpm and thrust.
