Onboard Voltmeters

Hello gents,

Who of you run onboard voltmeter on your planes. I see smart-fly has one which I have them in one of my planes and they’ve always worked great at showing me the battery voltage but I’m trying to find a blue led digital voltmeter that I can use. Does anyone have one like that and if so where did you get it??

I use this one. It is small, inexpensive, and it comes in 3 colors.

Likewise. Can even set up a low-voltage alert... of whatever you want it to be.

Yes.

I get dual battery readings for my Power-Safe Rx's that use dual batteries, as well as amperage reports(of which you can even set alerts for amperage use/threshold).

It's pretty slick stuff.

+1
I am doing exactly that with a new 12310 Powersafe and a 2012 vintage DX-18 running the latest firmware.

Perfect. There's a great example of why it's beneficial to keep the airware up to date.

My DX18 didn't have that in there either until a few updates ago, but each update brings more to the table... some changes are subtle and not noticeable, and some like this are just way cool and very obvious and jump out.

It's one of the better features of product support I enjoy with my DX and Spektrum equipment.

So yeah, you can say it's an "onboard voltmeter" no doubt.

And here's another alternative.
If a person can't or doesn't care about telemetry, this unit displays the lowest voltage during the flight when you land.
A neat trick that can easily be switched between models just by plugging it into the receiver.
