Subscribe :-)

My Extra is almost finished and should be mainded on Sunday 24th.....

Mine is fitted out with a DA50, Hitec 5945s and 1 5955 and Fromeco and JR do the rest

As for tips and comments, none really the manual is pretty handy, Only thing I had serious problems with was mounting Fromeco Badgers switches due to the lack of wood in the fuz. All you need to do is make a nice solid point to mount too.

The standard tank mounting position is bad as well whne using a large engine. I (on advice of RH1N0) put in rails and a platform under the wingtube to mount the tank.

Any other questions I'm glad to help

yeah, that thing with the switches was a hard, but as u may have noticed, there is one pre marked at the top left under the canopy! are you going to run dual recievers?

Yeah I used the pre marked switch point for my charge jack. on my Rx switch I used a pin/flag Fromeco switch which only has a very small switch and was easy to mount, but the badger switch is for my ignition cutoff and needs to be not too far from the ignition/killswitch which was what caused me problems.

I am only running one rx and one battery on Rx. I didn't really feel the need for dual batteries so i went with the 4800 Fromeco which should be more than enough I think. Also with only 6 servos a 10 channel reciever is more than enough.

Re: 27% Hangar 9 extra 260 build thread

Ive been flying my H9Extra260 since June and really enjoy it. I used an Evolution 45 for power, Hitec 5985s, and 2 fromeco 2400 for batteries. The evolution motor uses no fuel so to save some weight i am only using a 14 oz tank.

Youve probably read it somewhere before but the stock landing gear isnt that good. I replaced mine with Graphtec gear.

Very fun plane to fly.

My landing gear lasted like a gazillion flights with no sign of delamination at all......Horizon does sell an aluminum gear for it as well for like $22.00........Good luck with your plane.

I'm not sure , but are your standoffs too long? Your prop hub is waaaay out there.

Jeeeeeumm (sorry ) I was thinking the very same thing.

Also about the landing gear I have replaced mine already. I didn't want to take any risk in damging the plane. i got the Graphtech gear as well. Perfect fit and only a fraction heavier.

Sorry Nic, but yes it is.

Recheck all your measurements and look at the other picture of the full plane someone posted in your thread.

Besides, having three pounds out front by and extra inch or two will just make the model harder to get the CG right on.
