Question
3W Bolts?

Can someone please tell me the spec type of the 3W Socket Head Cylinder bolts?

They appear to be Socket Head Cap screws but with some sort of silver coating.

I don’t think they are Stainless ??

3W and DA both use aluminum bolts for some applications. In most cases these are single use bolts. Check to see if your bolts are magnetic. Are they light weight?

Turckracer,

I will check tomorrow. I donít think they are light weight, but I will take a spare one and see if it sparks when touched by a grinding disc. and come back here tomorrow with my results.
Thanks

They were 8.8 Grade in the Earlier Motors are now 12.9 Grade High Tensile. - Not stainless.

The Bolts will be Zinc plated. Can use either 8.8 or 12.9

Measure your length, and buy some from McMaster Carr. I think 50 or 55mm long. And get grade 9 bolts.

Thanks All,
Ok, so the Cylinder bolts are 16MM under the head in length
The Heads show 10.9

I found every bolt size on Amazon / MonsterBolts
I got the Zinc plated 12.9 grade
I got all new bolts for the Crankcase, Front bearing housing, rear mount, crankcase halves, Cylinders, and Exhaust

This Is all related to the Leak Down Testing Thread for when I get the new Crankcase in a few weeks.

Thanks again everyone.
