I cut some outlet holes for the hot air to escape so we'll see how this works out. I also heard from Redwing RC that they are shipping me my stabilizer replacements straight from China. My original ones were warped so bad the tabs to secure the stabs to the fuse were 1/8" to 3/16" away from the fuse. I was going to use washers to space it out but I think now I'll wait for the replacements.

I'm picking away at this build but some where down the road it will be finished. I got the rudder servos installed and the cables hooked up to the rudder. My replacement rear stabs should be here on Monday or Tuesday. Haven't heard anything on my Glacier 5000 mAh 6S replacement yet.

I received my new rear stabs yesterday from Redwing RC's factory in china and did a dry fit today and they fit up to the fuse just fine so I installed the servos. I replaced the hinges with Robart hinges as I did on the rest of the plane. I sent an email to Buddy RC to see about my replacement for one of my Glacier 5000mAh 6S 45C. I was told the guy that handles there returns is on vacation. I'm thinking......no one else knows how to ship a battery????????

I got the tail end all tightened up today. The only thing left to do is program the rates and set the CG. Course I can't do that until I get a replacement battery back from Buddy RC.

Thanks. Got everything programmed, receiver installed, and all the wiring secured today. The only thing left to do is secure the Life battery once the CG is set but I'm still waiting on my Glacier battery to come back. Hopefully they'll ship it out this coming week so I can do the maiden next weekend. The pic shows how I set my two elevator halves. Works pretty good.

Got the CG set and both the 2500 Life and the two 5000mAh packs installed with Velcro and straps. Hopefully heading out after lunch today to get the maiden flight in on my Slick 540. This is long over due and I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Zippi,
Use up your battery completely or set it up in your charger as a discharge. Then setup a balance charger at .1 or .2 amps. I know it will be ridiculously slow but it might work. That is how I was able to fix some of my 6s batteries. On another note. This is an awesome build thread. I like it a lot! I can not wait to maybe see this in person. Great job! Alex |

This thing is sick. I like the quick response of the electric. Plane feels heavy when I pick it up but it lands so smooth. May try a 23X10. Check out the data log.
First run: 4 min. / 63% still in the packs Second run: 5 min. / 38% left in the packs Final run: 5 1/2 min. / 30% left in the packs |
