Question
Charging a123 s
I have a duel setup a123 -2300 each- in 60cc Aeroworks Extra. There is a setting on my Cellpro 10s that allows the simultaneous charging of two a123s.
I have heard of the common ground problem . Is this kind charging safe from this kind of common ground problem. I have great trust in FMA and love my cellpro chargers, but I just want to be sure. Thoughts ? Advice ? |

In my 91" Extra I run two 2500MA A123 from TDRC with a TechAero IBEC and since I get many flights I take the canopy off and charge directly through the balance tap. On a smaller plane I have two 1100MA A123 from NOBS made to charge through the switch/charge port and I charge all of them with the 10S at the same time at 4amps. Does not take long to charge them.

Leelee,
Do you disconnect one of the Rx from the Charge switch before you charge the two batteries simultaneously? I say with reference to the common ground problem. Thanks, Allan |

You must remove the orange wire or the power wire from the switch. That way you are not sending power from the charger directly to the reciever. You can go to hangtimeshobbies.com and it will show you all of the different ways to charge a123 and have the packs made for the different ways to charge.

Thank you for the reply. That reference was perfect and it was everything I need to answer the question.
I am using the duel battery set up from NoBS and a Cellpro 10 s. And will charge both batteries simultaneous. Thank you again. |
