Re: a little foamy yak project...
The only progress i've made recently is painting the canopy area I keep forgetting to go
get more paint for my airbrush(i'm out of all the good colors) I've been a little busy lately though, repairing my funtana(thats what i get for letting someone else fly my plane). I'm trying to save enough money for my electronics by doin sidejobs at work and stuff. My buddy told me he would buy me everything i needed for my yak if I put a clutch in his car, so i'm waiting for him to get his paycheck. Oh to answer your question Jason, I'll be using an E-flite 300 outrunner, E-flite 10amp esc,(unless i can get my hands on a pheonix10) For servos i'll either be using the e-flight S60's, or maybe some 4.7g servos from Dymond-RC. I will probably run 3s 300mah lipos, or something close to that. My reciever will be a spektrum AR6100. (3.5grams!!!) Should be a pretty lightweight settup |

Re: a little foamy yak project...
The guy that i got the plans from had built one, but i havent seen anyone else yet.
I was going to post the plans in the "nothing but foamy plans!" thread, but i dont want to get in trouble for having copied plans of a foamy thats already in production with another company. If Max and Biff say its ok, i'll post them up, but for now they stay with me...(unless you PM me....) |

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET:19 8:
I kind of just maidened my yak in my back garden and man o man does it hover nice almost as if its hanging from the roof For atleast three seconds i didnt have to even think about touching the sticks Unfortunately I couldent play for to long because the prop that I was using was a little too big so my motor was getting abit hot(I Just couldnt sit and look at the plane any longer and unfortunatley I didnt have the right prop size) But from what ive seen -this plane is the shiz-nit Hows yours going? I just finished the airbrushing...take it easy on me, i've never airbrushed a foamy before I looks pretty goofy. I had no clue what i was doing, i just started masking everything and hoped for the best. Oh well, i'll just asume it as practice |

Re: a little foamy yak project...
Yet another problem
My motor worked fine when I maidened my yak in the gerden but since then I got the right prop and today when I wanted to fly it wouldnt start it would just twitch so ive spent the whole day trying to find the problem and it turns out that the stator has come loose and six wires have been broken I dont see how one minute its fine and the next minute its broken Could it have happened from heat? Could I rewind it? or should I just cut my loses and try and get another one Are there any diagrams out there that show how and in what way to rewind this motor And sorry-I havent had the oppertunitie to weigh it cause I have beem trying to get this motor sorted out |

Re: a little foamy yak project...
Dude we need to get together sometime so I can give you your airplane!! I don't mind having it around, but I'm sure you would like to have it. I'll talk to Rich about flying at Buder soon.
