The Major difference that i had to learn quickly when flying in the desert , is the is NO trees to hit , but it is weird .

I hope you weren't too distracted by the lack of trees! Actually, I guess all that open space could make it difficult to find landmarks to help set up your landings.

LOL the only thing you need to learn, is if you would like to fly during the summer. You need to be out of bed early and at the field by first light. Lots of sunscreen, Lots of water.
