Help!
EQ6 to Hitec programmer trying to match elevator servos with no luck
EQ6 with JR R921 and Hitec HS 7955TG on elevators one each half. I'm trying to use the HITEC programmer HFP-20 to match the elevator travel plugged into the EQ6 in conjunction with the HFP-20 and not having any luck. Should I plug into the R921 receiver and by pass the EQ6? I didn't try using the built in servo match the EQ6 has but that sets center point and end points only. I use the Hitec programmer to match travel along the entire travel distance which works great up till now with the EQ6 being in the set-up but I'm probably doing something wrong. Which should I be doing to get this done?
Thanks |

Re: EQ6 to Hitec programmer trying to match elevator servos with no luck
You must plug the programmer directly into the servo. Progam each to get the correct throws to match. When you have them programmed so the surfaces have the same throws plug everything together and see if your surfaces match. If not you need to go back to plugging servo into programmer to make changes so when you have your set up all plugged in the throws will match. There is a series of videos from the DOD days that shows how to do this. You may find them doing a search on the site. I thought the EQ6 allowed you to match surfaces?????? I usually use a matchbox and set up in short time.

i just completed a servo set up on a 43% wing using a y connector on the servos , i have 30 degrees of throw each way using 1 inch arms with so little binding you can hardly here the servos humming. i have a eq6 turbo in anther plane of mine and it worked great i guess its a personal prefrence on how you set up things . good luck Bryon |
