So from get go I have had issues with my horizontal stab and elevator vibrating during high speed pass. People say that it is not 'Flutter' because the tail section does not rip off. But at full throttle, the elevator vibrates violently up and down. It stops when I back off the throttle. Originally I found that the stab CF tube allowed a bit of wiggle room, so I put tape around it. But the issue has returned. Again today I put more tape around the tube to see.....

I have very carefully gone over the mechanical set up. I am using 1-1/4" arms and the set up is perfect. I am using brand new.Promodeler DS470 BL servos. They should be PLENTY strong enough. No???

I am wondering if I need to put some vortex generators on the leading wedge of the stab to see if that helps?

BTW, the hinges ARE sealed.

Anybody?

Not sure why people are thinking the 76/83” MXS is a heavy airframe and a 35cc isn’t enough. My setup AUW with a DA-35 (20x8 XOAR) and a FULL 12oz tank is 12lb 13.2oz. The DA rips this airframe around absolutely beautifully. It does everything my 78” Extra did, with many maneuvers even better.

I flew my EF 74" Edge with a DA35. It was around the same weight as your MXS. For me, it was just a bit anemic, specially in the low end torque stuff...

But back to the subject at hand... Has anyone else had issues with the elevator "fluttering" ?

At this point I am thinking I may need to just buy a whole new tail set.
