My dad has an awesome set of tools !!!

Well,

Let me start off by telling a little tale about my raptor.... I was flying @ TUCSON at the TAS after hours, and I lost my collective.... I attributed it to a bad battery, so I switched over to FROMECO Li-ion. Today after the rebuild, I was out doing some heli huckin' and I figured after the re-build I would kind of warm her up slow, and just get it dialed in.... Well I flew around for a bit, did some piro circles, some inverted climb outs, and some fast backward flight... I took her up to test the bird out, and I went into an upright tic-toc.... I got through about 5 cycles of tic-tocs,,, and WHAMO !!!! NO COLLECTIVE AGAIN !!!!! FULL NEGATIVE TO MOTHER EARTH FROM ABOUT 80' UP !!!

This time I did it right.... ITS TOTALLED !!!! NO REBUILD ON THIS ONE !!!!

Re: My dad has an awesome set of tools !!!

never thought about the failsafe, although It is set to go to idle If it goes failsafe, so I dont think it did.... ITs a JR rx 770 pcm. I sent Rx, Gyro, Tail servo, and Suspect collective servo to respective mfgrs for checkup and repair. On a scale of 1 to 10 on gear damage it got about a 6, on airframe damage it was a 10. Engine is OK a bit dirty but OK. MP II is Jacked, Lithium Batts OK, Reg OK, Other than the stripped gears in the servos (the 2 that were sent) I got out with pretty much the loss of an airframe. SO I was lucky there.... I wouldnt have been so lucky If I hit on asphalt/concrete guaranteed....

So the good news.... I have a NEW TITAN in possesion right NOW !! Im going to a heli funfly tomorrow, and shooting video, and pics so stay tuned... Will be back in the air when gear comes back, and I get a new pipe.... probably about a week and a half or so...
