I’m working on the drawings for a 170/215cc version now for the DA 170 on pipes or DA 215. There are plans for a purpose built IMAC plane down the road.

More pics, ETA and pricing available soon.
Looks great, but is sounds a bit heavy. My EF 104 Extra V2 is 26.5 pounds (no gas) with MTW 75 cans and headers.
In any case, I hope it has provisions for a quiet exhaust. At most places around here, stock mufflers have a big power decrease (to zero) because the plane will not be allowed to fly.

Great to hear! Much needed if it is also IMAC capable.

Is it not financially feasible to offer 2 sets of wings and stabs, one for precision and one for 3D?

I think many people would likely buy both sets.

I'm a +1 on the Dalotel. Love those airplanes and a 70cc sized one would be excellent.

With the lack of updates, can I presume this project is dead before even start?

It's not dead, unfortunately the factory was not receptive to any changes I wanted to make to the production airplanes vs the sample. The airplane was good but I don't feel that it would have been competitive with todays competition. I'm exploring a couple of different manufacturers at this time to get someone who is willing to come out with a product that will be better than the current offerings.

Hopefully you could find a manufacturer here in north America to make the best of the best quality airplanes.

I sure hope I can keep my $$$ from burning a hole in my pocket before your 260 is available.

I have a DA 120 and even a DA170/ MTW RE3, too.

So, whichever shows up I can jump on it like a cat on a June bug.

I have been lucky enough to have been out at the field when Mark did his maiden flights on the 260 and I have to say that I was more than impressed. I have been flying Aeroworks stuff for several years and looking at Marks plane and comparing the difference there's no comparison. I just met Mark and I don't know him real well but talking with him and seeing what he has done, I'd have to say the man is very driven to perfection and everything about this plane shows it. I liked the landing gear setup where he actually built in some re-imbursement for the gear and it looks solid. I also like the mount for the fuel tank and batteries and all the carbon fiber looks great. I think the thing I like the best is the finish. This finish shows up better than any I've seen and it looks great. I hope he can get things worked out and get the production going because I love this plane and would like to move into the 21st century with it.

How’s the manufacturing search going? I’m assuming it came to a halt due to the virus. Still hope to see that Extra make it to market
