Ghost that sounds like a good price. too bad your so far away.
I'm really sorry about your eye site.
I'm thinking of raising or lowering my ailerons to combat the wing rock.

Well the MX is still going strong and gets lots of compliments. I've learned how to do a funnel hover so to say.
This plane goes into the craziest inverted spin and doesn't loose a meter of alitutde.
Green flat.m4v (0 min 41 sec)

She is also one heck of a flatspinner

Hi,

after several years of keeping my MX2 in a box due to off-field reasons, I finally started to fly her with a dle35 this season. Have a question

Will the wingtips take SFGs? My Funtana had wingtip SFGs and even without them, it was flying very softly as compared to the MX. The SFGs on my Funtana 125 are out of use as that airplane has no landing gear currently.
The Aeroworks site shows how SFGs can be installed on an airplane that doesnt have them inherently- they sandwich blind nuts between the final wingtip rib and another that they cutout out of the same shape and epoxy it in place. Then the install the wing tips as you would. Will the GW MX2 wingtips be able to take SFGs installed this way and will they help flight performance?

I use the green covering from hangar nine. I can't remember which green it is. There are 2 kinds of green.

Do you think it could be the fluorescent green? There are actually several greens. I ordered the one that looked to match on their website but what I got was too dark.

Thanks

Thanks Kerwin,
There sure is a lot of advantages to the online stores but this is a case where I miss my local hobby shop.

Maiden flight today

I know this thread has been around for many years so I doubt there are many followers but here is a video of my maiden that I flew today. I only did the one flight and I took it easy so there is nothing too exciting to see other than a good flying airplane.

Nice work! The thread may be old, but it's still a very nice plane. I'm stoked that this is still around.

I now have over 60 flights on the MX2 and one IMAC contest. It was the smallest plane in the contest by far and the only electric powered one but we held our own. It's only been 18 years since I flew in an IMAC contest and it was a lot of fun. I can confirm that the weak spot is still the landing gear mount as I broke it out a few flights ago and it hasn't had a really hard landing. I added some bracing and it is now plenty strong. What a fun plane!
