Which Extra is best for 3D and freestyle

Of all the 33% and up Extra's, which one is best suited or made for 3d flying, hovering, etc? I think the 260 is best suited for Imac/pattern~. What size and which manufacturer do you think has the best extra, just for 3d keep in mind.

For 3D, freestyle, Precision Aerobatics 35% extra 330
It has a lot of wing area, rock solid on harriers upright or inverted
it is like a giant foamy

Comp-arf 35% 330L or 300sx for 3d, the 260 will do it just as good but is a better sequence flyer on top of that. 330L or 300sx just based on looks would be my 2 choices.

If you wait a few weeks, for the Extreme Flight Extra 88.5" Extra 300 to come out, you can bet it will be a top performer in all flight scenarios. It is already getting rave reviews. Best of all its like a 33-35% in a 50cc package.

These all look like great choices. High wing area, lightweight, good stuff. What about larger tailgroup surfaces(rudder, elevator) who has the largest tailsection in proportion to the scale size? Keep the info coming.

The lightest 260 you practice the most with.

so far between my 2 extras 330L&300sx I think the 330L is the better of the two planes, but keep in mind I am still getting used to the 300sx

Re: Which Extra is best for 3D and freestyle

The SX is what I currently fly. I have only flown two 40% models. The SX and the AW 42% Ulti. But the SX is extremely docile and well behaved though it does not seem to have the high roll rates at slow speeds that others might. But it is an awesome TR and Harrier/Rolling Harrier plane. It does tend to be a slower handling plane... so if you like the fast snappy stuff... the Compy 260 might be better..
I own a ZN-Line, but have not flown it yet... but I understand this model will 3D with the best of'em... (This is the CPLR Extra)
The vid links show several examples of how this plane flies

I have never had before a plane that after one year and 200 flights... I still love...
this plane is just so honest and docile. Whenever you see a SX flying and it does something wierd... just know that it was the pilot that messed up!!!

Has anybody had any experience of Dietrich Aircraft, either the 42% Extra 260 or 39% Extra 300LP. Looking at one as the QQS 120" Yak seems to be taking forever.

I saw a couple,
They flew really well....
"Bow-Flex"...
Blew the tail right off!!!
With a little extra User-Installed tail stiffeners.. these could be the hot ticket ... I seem to recall they are budget priced as well.... They look to be mfg'd by world models.

Check the Great Planes 38% Extra... A Hyper-Quick-Build for $999.00!!!

I have the 50cc Extra 260 and the 42% 260 and love them, haven't had any problems and they can do all the 3D and IMAC without a problem.
