I have owned a TON of 35 - 40% planes and the H9 260 is the only one where I followed the directions and it was awesome from day 1. other planes actually fly just as good if not better but they usually take a few adjustments and such. The H9 260, Mike M just did an insane job with. It is so nice straight from the box! |

New tygon + neoprene inside + felt clunk + Sullivan metal lid w. stopper. As pictures show, I also improved the standoffs with ply + GF + 24h epoxy. I rebuilt the can mount a bit, to fit a pair of KS 88:s. These seem to work well with the 120. I was going to maiden it last season but waited for the DX18, to be able to sync aileron servos. This task showed to be easy peacy with the DX18. Very happy with it so far. My setup is DA 120 MTW knuckle headers w. about 2" extra length soldered to them KS 88 cans KS comfort mount (great!) Probably only way to go would be order the extra 300 wheel pants and repaint them. As far as i know they dont carry the 260 pants but the 300 wheel pants are exactly the same just painted white instead

I crashed my Extra a week ago, and I'm still sick about it. Enough said. Anyway, there are some good parts left if anyone wants them.
The left wing is undamaged - V2 Both elevators and stabilizier are undamaged The pilot is undamaged. The left wing has some damage on the wing tip which is repairable The rudder has some damage on the bottom outboard corner which is repairable The fuselage, cowl, canopy and hatch are toast. If you are interested in the parts, PM me and I will send pictures. Chuck |

My first 100 cc Gasser!!!
Hey all, bringing this thread back to life.
Got the extra 260 that has been flown around 7 times, with a DLE 111 and hitec TI servos. Pretty stoked, its PnF for 1400.... The only question, aside from "your favorite cg", is, what do you think of the electronics set up? 2 x 2450 flightpower 7.4v Lipos, a 2700 mah 4.8v NIMH (or whatever they are these days), running into two switches, then running into the super reg, then to power expander sport. I like the idea of going to unregulated life (2 x 3000), and a 2000 life regulated in line for the ign... I kinda think, fuel up and fly, but I don't really like all the electronics currently in there.... As I run FrSKY, if I ran unreg life, I could easily get the pack voltage (which I know the downside for life), or I'd have to hook up an external sensor for the lipos. All that being said, the batteries are not the most secure in their current configuration. Thoughts? |

Does anyone know of the header drop, MTW TD 75 cans for the Extra 260 with a DA100?
Cheers! |
