I have a 9C Super and have been thinking of an 8FG.
It would be nice if they did another SW upgrade on the 8FG giving it FASSTest telemetry and Futaba FHSS. Then the 8FG would be 14 channels and have the full Futaba 2.4 suite of RF options too. You coud fly Futaba for high end, low end, telemetry and all. And, if you want to go real cheap for your low end stuff, you pick up some FRSky FASST receivers. That 8FG would be killer! |

AEAJR,
That would probably be too good to be true, but one can always dream about Futaba would be able to do such mircale with 8FG making it probably as close as it can be to a T14SG. If that would happen then 8FG will hold som kind of record in upgradability, I do not know of any other radio that has got so much added already for free to the users since first release of 8FG to currect version 5 via the grand de luxe version 3.0 software (that made it into 14 ch etc) for 8FG. So even if your wish will not come true one must be rather satisfied what Futaba has done with 8FG via software upgrades so far. /Bo |

Yes, 8FG is a great value. But one can dream.
Meanwhile, eager to learn more about T14SG. My Futaba 9C Supers ( I have a matched set) have been upgraded to FASST and can do everything I need. I have no need for 14 channels, 8 is enough for me. And I don't NEED telemetry. If I did I could put a FrSky module in my 9C Super and have all the telemetry I could want at low prices. But there is a lust in the heart for new Futaba stuff. It calls to me like cheese cake in the fridge at 4 am. |

I hired a marketing guy a couple years ago to help us figure out why customers came in looked, made notes and did not buy. We carried everything.
Very simply he cut the options in half that a customer could look at. Bamm sales went through the roof. We gave to many options that just confused the average buyer. I wonder if Futaba is making the same mistake? Just wondering. RB |

Have you held one yet?
If you're holding your breath for an all metal case radio, I think you'll find the JR 12X the last of that breed. Some properly designed rubber grips on a plastic cased radio can go a long way to making the feel better. We have two DX7s radios at our field now, guy's with DX6i's upgrading. Not bad feeling radios for the price. Pete P.S. Is anyone having problems with the 8FG pots and gimbals? |

No problems here with my 8fg pots or gimbals, would just like high quality units from the 14 or 18mz

I have just set up 2 rudder servos on my 2.6 carf yak using this method I got full subtrim and endpoints I just assigned chan 8 as aux1 and linked it to my rudder stick and trim. I don't need it for ailerons as i am only running 1 servo per ailerons but did test it and it works with that too. But what i do need is conditions for fixed wing mode. |
