I don't have a lot of experience in the hobby, but a wise ol' sage once told me that if your balance is good on all axis, and your throws are at least close to perfect, you will be able to fly a brick of $.h!t and love it! All good advice was given in the previous posts.

With something as nice as a CARF, I'd hope it's in a completely different league. The Yak 55 does seem to have a little less wing area and different geometry than say an Extra, so I'm sure some different characteristics will shine through. However, with proper tuning and balance you can make most airframes act neutral at slower speeds, but there is some preference involved too.
