Judge, you grossly misinterpret my point.
If you read, I have no issue with putting your little cross on a toy airplane. As I said, the meaning is in the context. The point I was your amazing inability to understand how and why this imagery can be offensive to others that may not give a damn about your hobby of scale aviation. And I do not understand what you are trying to accomplish by refusing to acknowledge that the iron cross is ALSO used by hate groups, klansmen, the national socialist party, and many more atrocious organizations. Your unwillingness to address this and your insistence on pushing back, only makes me think you might have some sort of current or previous history of affiliation with one of these groups... are you some sort of extremist white nationalist?? You sure are digging your heals in and rallying behind their colors! |

As you are seemingly equally intent on supporting your view that the iron cross, currently in use by the German Air Force as their official insignia, is somehow as repugnant and vile as a swastika.
I'll remind you that the KKK carries crosses and uses the crucifix as part of their symbology, so I guess that means that the cross is also evil, right? And now I am an extremist white nationalist? Wow. So in less than a week I have been called a liar, a super troll, and now essentially a Nazi. Wow. Just wow. As you say, it is all about context. On a toy airplane I see no offense. On the body of a neo-nazi, then definitely so. |

I'm not suggesting that you're racist. I'm merely pointing out or asking the question as to why I tend to see so many planes with German representations. As I said in my first post.....we beat them in both WW's. Let's see more Stars and Stripes! ![]() |

![]() I suppose we should start a boycott campaign against Hempel models too for selling that big Fokker Triplane, complete Iron Crosses and all. http://www.billhempel.com/triplane/index.php BTW, my Uncle (mother's side) was killed by a Japanese Kamikaze attack on the USS Ticonderoga during WWII. Yet I would have no issue flying a model of a Japanese WWII plane. So I guess now I can add unpatriotic traitor to my growing list of titles? ![]() |

I decided to look up this symbol and found it is over 200 years old. It didn't even start in Germany. The Nazi's had their version just like the Navy Cross has their own version of this base symbol. To me it seems like more people need to look things up before becoming offended because they don't know the real meaning behind something instead of jumping to conclusions. Anyone can take a symbol and turn it into something bad, and unfortunately it seems like more and more people are taking history and making it something bad and protesting to have it taken down ( historic statue's). IMO it seems like we need to learn from our history and learn from it. Not get offended because we have the wrong idea if what it was or is. To call Judge names is just rediculous. He has always been helpful in almost every way here and quite honestly nothing pulls people apart more than politics right now.
