Hello i am installing the alnding gear and I have found two issues.
First of all there is a significant gap betweel the fairing and the landing gear itself, is it supposed to look that way or may I put some silicone to seal that gap?In the picture I have alread put some silicone betweeen the fuselage and the fairing to attach it. Second, the wing strut does not fit because the landing gear fairing obstructs it. Do I have to make the strut holder hole bigger with a dremel tool? Regards. |

I have tapped the threads con joiner tuve of the elevator but I get a little play between each elevator and the fuselage. I need to detach them for transport so gluing the elevator to the fuselaje is not an opinion. Is there any way to eliminate the gap/woobling of the elevator?

Bit disappointed on the landing gear fairings....see pic. I think I will add some black fuel tubing in the joint to look like a a real joint.
Any other suggestions? TIA Jerry |

The gap there is intentional, and is scale, although maybe not that big of a gap. Some black tubing like cockpit combing would be appropriate if that turns your crank.

Under the fairing there is a collection of rubber oval disks that are there for shock absorption on the full scale DHC-2, That fairing (not always used in the full scale beaver) is covering that up, and the gap may be in place to allow compression and expansion under normal operation. I think that gap looks a little big personally, maybe a bead of white silicone would make quick work of sealing that up to make it look a little cleaner? |
