Lots of threads, mostly older, where kerosene (like that sold at Home Deport, Lowes, etc.) is recommended.....most folks shy away from it because of the cost.....$16/gallon here in the Chicago, IL area.

The jet guy's that use to fly at the field said that there are a lot less contaminates in it.They didn't run anything but canned fuel.

Guys,

I am just getting into turbines and wanted to know the setups you use to store your kerosene/diesel. I found Jersey Modelers systems...any other suppliers out there or is there a nice DIY setup that people use?

Thank you for any information.

Abell hobbies makes a good can too. I have one for gasoline and I have a jersey modeler for my turbines. I like the large filler funnel it comes with when I used to go get JETA. Now i just run diesel and forget it.

https://www.greylor.com/pumps/detail/pq12-24 This is the fuel pump I use.

When I was looking for fuel jugs, similar this this, I found mine for more $ than what Jegs offers.

Then get a 12V fuel pump, a pack of fittings, a toggle switch, about 10' of fuel line and a plastic do all box. Dont forget the filters! You can build one for under $100. Hell, I spent over $100 on 2, 7.5 gallon fuel cans. But I only fill up with 5 gallons at a time, makes the oil ratio easier to remember. 1 qt to 5 gallons!

Thats whats making me want to upgrade my old JetCat motors, get rid of powermax, and just use cheap diesel! So tempting.

Yes you can use this, but you need to make sure you mix with turbine oil like kingtech turbine oil at a ratio of 20:1
