horizon charging sales tax in Washington

Last week i put in an order with horizon hobbies and sales tax showed up. on the invoice. I emailed then and this is the reply.

If you are located in Washington, as of April 2018 we are now required to assess sales tax on orders shipping there.

Now that they have Tower Hobbies too. I wonder if the same will apply to tower...

May as well order more from the LHS then & pay sales tax & plus free shipping ! Maybe it will help the Hobby shops !!

Idaho just passed the same law, not sure when it goes into effect, my LHS gets me better deals on most stuff anyway

Everybody started doing that about a year or 2 ago. If the state where the vendor is located has sales tax, you're gonna have to pay it. I only buy from Chief now, Oregon doesn't have sales tax.

It is not where the company is located, it’s not about HH or Chief, it’s about the elected representatives where you live that imposed this ridiculous thing called sales tax.
