Question
Realflight Versions

Hi, I currently have version 7 of the RF software. I was happy and ignored any simulator ads that I noticed, so fell behind in sim knowledge. Now I am thinking of upgrading but am confused with RF's marketing. I seem to remember there was a RF Drones simulator that sold on its own, but can't seem to find it now. I also notice RF X (RF 10???) and now on horizon's and RF's site, RF 9. Is RF ver 9 the only one out there? Does RF 9 encompass the drone and "X" version of the software?

Thanks!!!

Al

RF-X was a complete rebuild but it requires some pretty high end horse power to run right.

RF-9 has most of that with the original engine that will run on just about any system, and the Spektrum Interlink control is miles better than any of the old tactic interlinks.

Yes, there's features from X in 9 such as drones, fpv, and progressive challenges.

Thanks BarracudaHockey, RF-X then sounds like it might be slightly more realistic graphic wise. In my web browsing it appears to be discontinued too. I did find on RF's site the release updates but there is no overall product path. Sounds like RF9 is really the only current path with the specktrum controller.

Thanks for your input!

Sure thing. I've reviewed several including 8, 9 and x for Model Airplane News

RF-9 is the best bet. X's slightly more realistic graphics come at the cost of excessive hardware requirements and honestly its not all that noticeably better on my Alien Ware game system

"Alien Ware", those are pretty good.

Thanks again!
