Thanks for the info guys. I also thought about using the Robart no spoke aluminum wheels. I will be running a jetronics valve to control speed of each gear.

I finished mine last night. The plane with the FG90 needed all the batteries at the back of the hatch to balance. I opted for the Top Flite Zero spinner which added a little more nose weight. I used 4watt Unilight units in the wing tips for position lights and a 4w landing light in the leading edge. They are bright without being blinding.
I finished the radio setup. I am going to move the linkage in on the servo arm to get better resolution. I had to dual rate down to 35% to get recommended elevator throws.

If this winter storm hitting the West clears out fast I will have this plane flying on Saturday.

By the time I arrive it will be back to normal here. Plus I’m allergic to cats.

Diggin it.

Looks like heavy metal, flys like a sport plane and comes in very light.

Looking forward to it! Following your review of the big Waco, I ended up buying one.

Thanks! I wouldn't recommend something I wouldn't own. In the case of the Waco (and the Oscar) if I wrecked it I would replace it with my own money

I've just started mine, also.

I can't get the right wing to fit. It's VERY, VERY tight on the fuse. I'm afraid to use too much force in fear of breaking something.
The left is fine.
The wing tube fits the right wing socket fine, fits the fuse socket ok, but it looks as if I'll have to try to lift the covering on the bottom of the right fuse fairing and try to ease the lower edge of the fairing.

The two holes in the fuse for the left wing bolts don't line up with the blind nut holes in the wing. I had to elongate the holes the get the bolts to thread into the wing...no biggie, just annoying!

I'm looking forward to doing the rest of the assembly. Using a Saito FG90R3

If you have it upside down can you see where the wing is not fitting? it would have to be one of the 2 anti rotation pins. I have a small gap on the bottom, nothing horrible. the pins are all the way through the fuse and the wing screws line up.
I needed to run a 1/4-20 tap through my wings.

I put 12 flights on the Oscar this week. It flies great.
It does nice straight point rolls after I finished the knife edge mixing. 12% opposite aileron with Rudder and 8% up Elevator with Rudder to the left and 0 mix with right Rudder.

This is the first 50-60cc plane that is better than the Top Flite P-47 for ground handling. Tail comes up in 5' and it tracks straight down the runway.
