Here's the Gernot Bruckmann 55" Yak-55m. Installing a Scorpion 4020-14(fits motor mount perfectly with no mods) CC Ice Lite 50 ESC/ Xoar 15"-16" x 8" or 10" prop on a lite 4s setup. Sweet construction. Nice lite spinner with cooling holes included and aluminum backplate too. HS 5245's for servos and pull/pull on rudder/elevator.

These birds are lite. Should be able to keep it around the 4-4.25lb mark on 4s. The covering is a thing of beauty. I think the hatch latch area needs a little beefing up but other than that the construction is primo. I think if there's enough interest the 1.8m will get pickied up too. I'lll take some more build pics today-I'll see how much gets done with all the Sun & Fun pilots showing up. Also noticed there's some fiberglass reinforcements in the tailwheel area. Had to dremel a slot for the tailwheel wire to fit between rudder halves. Was wondering why my razor wasn't penetrating!

Devon, c'mon dude-glow?! Why ruin a nice lite airframe with a paint shaker on the front? LOL
I suppose you could do a glow install but you would need to close off the cowl area and epoxy coat it to keep out the slime. Also the firewall would need some mods as it's set up for electric. Needs a shorter can size from the stock firewall mount. Not much firewall distance to front of cowl for a longer glow motor. Might work though with some mods=you'd be the first!

Im debating whether to get one of these and slime it up (glow power) or fork out the cash and go electric cause i still dont have a good electric plane for myself

A glow install would take some hobbying up to make it work but anythings possible. Kind of lightly constructed for a glow install though. Would require some extra corner stock/glue joints so it wouldn't fall apart from the vibrations. Come on in the store and check it out sometime so you can see for yourself and make up your mind. There's some cheaper battery solutions out there so the price for an electric setup can be a little more manageble. Also pushing the ESC a little with an ICE 50 but with throttle management it should do fine. I'm setting this one up on 4s 2700 packs, it should be around a 4-4.25lb build and be nice and light/floaty with plenty of power. If you see Phil tell him to check it out too, I think this bird might be right up his alley.
