Couple of questions, ... What was the balance like with the 144? Also, what MPX connectors are those in your pic?

Nothing wrong with OEM rings just a lot of people like to use the BB rings they are a little softer break in faster which leads to better ring seal less blow bye more power

and less life because of softer material or lowered spring tension . its better to use the oem rather than open a new engine until broke . I think the real benefit is the actual measured ring gap not just a mass produced spot check at a factory. all these engines benefit from tweaking but out of the box is the true test

The two real benefits I see in using Bjorn rings are the cast iron material for better sealing. Also the less pressure against the cylinder wall makes for less heat and far less friction. When you use these rings the engine spins FREE,to the point it doesn't seem to have rings in the piston. But when you hit TDC it's rock solid. The only time I got more rpm worth talking about is when I eliminated one ring from a two ring piston and used one Bjorn ring.I don't see a whole lot of benefit in the smaller ring gap, unless your stock rings are over .010,but every little bit helps.

Im thinking a 29x9 might be a good starting point.
Cycle do you have the 330LX built yet? I picked up a used green PAU Viper to go with my yellow Viper. I need to order an engine ASAP. I will need you to expedite your evaluation of this engine for my benefit, remember it all revolves around me. The Festivus holiday is fast approaching I am getting out my Aluminum pole for the festivities. I do not want to add you to the list of grievances I have. Happy Festivus ...

(i'm sorry) Being Canadian (I apologize), may we humble ask for a report (sorry) on the continued performance (my apologies), of the DJ144. In particular (sorry) how many runs you've had with it, (apologies), if there are any strange clunking noises as you turn the engine over (sorry), and your gut feel on longevity of the engine.

Yes the 72 pistons and cylinders are well proven what is new is the crank. And intake for dual cylinders...I will take a leap of faith and order when back in stock.

We are flying two 144's at OCMA , much more power than the GP123 it replaced.

Both have Bowman rings and have a lot of compression. Got wacked in the hand starting with not enough follow thru today. Luckily I was wearing a leather glove and did not get cut, but the swelling and blood blisters were impressive.
