I started to make the wing spar. The wing spar consists of 6 pieces that need to be glued together. All the angles are cut to make nice joints.

The final result will look like an I-Beam. The spar has to be cut to 37 7/8 ".

On the wing you have to mark 2 1/8" from the leading edge, and 3 1/8"m from the leading edge. The spar will be inserted between those to marks to form the airfoil.

There are alignment tabs that are provided to keep the two wing halves in the correct postion.

Well since no one else wants to post, I'll say it looks pretty nice.

The next step was to install the wingtip caps. At first this looked like trying top put the rectangle into the circle on that toy. Once you get into it, its pretty simple.

I used a few drops of 5 min epoxy to glue this onto the tip. I first added the glue to the tip of the wing, and placed the wingtip caps on. I slowly shaped the foam wingtip cap so that it would not crack as pushed it onto the fuse. After that I taped it up and let the glue dry, and went on to the other wingtip.

When the glue was dry I cut away the excess foam until I was pretty close to the wing. Then I did some final sanding to get the cap flush with the wing, and put a slight bevel into the cap.

Hey SB....

The stickers that come with the kit really seem to add strength to the kit...
You may want to reconsider not using them...

They stiffen the fuse and make it impervious to small dings...

my $.02...

Next up was to attach the wing to the fuse.

I used 5 min epoxy and microballoons to do this.

I decided how big of a fillet I wanted and used tape to mask off the joint. I did this so I would not have glue all over the wing where I put the glue on with my finger. I waited until the glue was almost dry and peeled the tape off. Worked like a charm!

Next up I installed the elevator joiner rod.

The slot for the rod is already cut out for you! all you have to do is glue it in, and then cut the foam out from the area between the two elevator halves.
