someone help shed some light here please!

guys, i have a 30cc sbach 342 70 series

*wing span: 60"
*length: 58"
*wing area: 738sq in (47.6sq dm)
*flying weight: 5 to 5.5lbs (2300-2500g)
*electric: brushless outrunner 80z
*prop: apc 16x10e-17x8e
*lipo: 5-6s 3800-5000mah
*radio: 4-5ch
*ESC: 70a

im absolutely guilty for buying this model with little to moderate electric knowledge. dont worry i do know how to fly without question! i just need some guidance from you guys that have decent experience in electric rc.

now, i received an O.S brushless motor! its pretty big and looks gorgeous! i hear o.s is good quality in the glow industry so im pretty sure their not looking forward to ruining their reputation. heres the specs.....

OMA-5025-375(.50 Size)Rotor Diameter:50 mmMagnet Length:25 mmOutput:375kV

guys is this enough for my plane??? can someone tell me whats a safe limit setup to go with this brushless motor? -chris

thats a 1550 watt motor, 150 watts per pound will make that plane ballistic. you are over 200. it will work great.

man, thats relieving lol ,, hey is it a bad idea to run this on 10s? or should i run it on 8s? (the highest ive seen on the testing chart was 8s with a 16x8e prop, max electric current was 62amps,

all this time ive been thinking this plane needed a 10s+ setup!

if you have ANY recommendations to what batteries to run with this motor I AM LISTENING lol! thanks friend!

15/8 on a 8s should rock ya. the amp draw might damage the motor if ya run any bigger prop.

indeed! 15x8 it is!

i learned that props act as a "transmission" except to shift to a different gear you must land and switch props lol....gotta find that right balance of torque and speed....im leaning towards speed!

question, whats the best method on mounting this motor? i have stand offs and of course the x plate that came with the o.s motor! im posting a pic and maybe you could advise me on this!
