Choke arm

Modified the choke arm by cutting it and rewelding it at a 90 degrees angle the choke now comes out the bottom . No issues hitting the muffler. Was not worried about warranty as I had already pulled the engine apart and had Bowman's put in.

What's wrong with simply adding one of these, ... and just dropping a 4-40 rod out the bottom of cowl???

You can add the ball connector if you're running headers but if you're running Mufflers the carb arm and choke arm have approximately one human hairs with clear between them and the muffler

Immediately, I see 2 relatively easy solutions. First, throw away the big purple arm! remove the butterfly screw, rotate the shaft 180 degrees and replace the screw. Choke arm now rotates away from muffler instead of toward the muffler! ....

Second solution, cut half of the uselessly long silver choke arm off. Add the 4-40 ball connector I showed above. Put the lock nut to the side closest to muffler. With that purple arm now gone, the thickness of that arm is removed also. More than enough room is now available to add the nylon lock nut to secure the ball connectors thread shaft. Threaded shaft may need to be shortened, but still an easy project.

Purple servo arm was added before the muffler was installed, that when I found the lack of space. This is pretty typical of manufacturers, they can easily and cheaply mod before ship. I was very reluctant to modify this engine Mile High warned me of voided the warranty simply because I ordered a gasket set with engine. I have already fixed the problem. I just have to attack it from two different angles, from the front to activate choke, I enlarged the cutout for the stupidly short exhaust stacks so I can reach in from bottom and open choke.

FYI the new stock of muffler will be 1 inch longer , I would think that mike high will have it as a spare in due course, waiting for more information re the Choke Arm that was supplied in the early stock

Exhaust port update

Ok so based on the below from MTW re there post size for the headers and Stubbs the DA 100 is pretty close

DA100 has the following measurements:
A: 14,5mm,
B: 25mm,
C: 40mm

and From my Previous post the DJ144 is .5mm wider and around 2mm longer I guess if one wanted to you can chamfer the stubb or header to allow a smooth entry into the exhaust but realistically I cant see it making any difference

Yeah its really nice, I love it,

I recall Pilot deleted the smaller Sbach & some other models from the line but there still available on the website and DA Australia sill have the 100 cc

So one would think there still available Perhaps local distributers in the USA have slow movement on them so hence may not order stock?

I know that was the case here in Aus, I got mine for about 15% off as they brought heaps as it was all the rage then people stooped buying them haha. So got it cheaper, Win for Me
