I am a HUGE fan of flight sims. I have over $7,000 in my sim setup. Here is the start up procedure I did in my Ka-50 Black shark and A-10C Warthog simulator. Watch in HD if you can.

DCS Ka-50 Black Shark 2 Start up (6 min 49 sec)

DCS A-10C Warthog (Max settings) (11 min 33 sec)

FSX is great! but X-Plane 10 is better (Scenery wise), but they both fly close to the same, but you need like a super computer to run X-Plane 10

I use MS Gold Edition also. Recently I have not been able to log into the online service to fly with others. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks

I have FSX and X-Plane 10 and now Aerofly FS.

I'm actually fairly impressed with Aerofly. It's very limited in scenery(not graphically, but as in a small map), you can't fly at night, and you are limited to only a few planes, but for $40 or whatever it was that it costs I was impressed. I would really like to see if developed to the point of FSX(in terms of aircraft available, terrain, scenarios, ect). It's a modern sim and runs great on my computer at maximum graphics. Very fun to just fly around VFR on from time to time.

Never really been overly impressed by X-Plane. Every time they come out with a new version I get excited because it looks so nice, but then I download the demo, try flying something and delete it almost instantly. The physics just don't feel right to me.

As for FSX, awesome sim, very realistic, great physics, great variety of aircraft, fly anywhere you want, any situation, but old and has major issues running on modern equipment since it wasn't designed for it. Sad that Microsoft quite developing it. Hopefully someone will make a new sim with as much potential as FSX, just modern.

I also use FSX and the acceleration expansion pack. It's a good simulator. You need a computer with fast graphics for the program to work at its best.
