MWFP EPP 42" Sbach 342

Received my 42" SBach kit from midwestfoamplanes.com yesterday.

Going together great.
Mike put together a nice kit, no issues at all with the build.
Will be using either 5065's or HXT900's.
Turnigy 2410-1000kv motor.
GWS 10x4.7 prop
3s 25c 1000mah packs.
Align 15A esc.

Completing the build tonight.

Besides getting it glued together I haven't had a chance to work on it.
Did take a couple new pics though.

Got her out for a quick test flight. Was a bit windy for me.
Looking forward to trying it out on a calm day.

435grams ready to fly with a 3s 25c 1000.

Re: MWFP EPP 42" Sbach 342

My Sbach has survived my crummy flying very well.
I suggest anyone who has flown/crashed Depron to try EPP.
This EPP Sbach has gone to hell and back.. I hit a chain link fence at a good pace.
Little welders and its in the air again.

BTW the wings on these kits have a symmetrical airfoil.

My buddy mike fisher down here in florida sells these and they are a blast i havent gotten to fly the Sbach yet but iv flown the yak 55 and edge and they are waaay to much fun and if you hit the ground its no snap and ow thing it bounces and you throw it back in the air

I've cartwheeled mine multiple times and threw it back in the air. Couple chunks came out of a wing when it met the chain link fence.. Put the pieces in my pocket and glued them back on that night.
I have to add hinge tape. Welders glue (contact cement) isn't the most durable stuff when used as a thin hinge.

Another great thing is when epp gets bent you can use an iron or heat gun to smooth them back out.
I left mine in the car and warped the hell out of it. Little heat and hold and we were back in business.

Its has a slightly shorter tail than their yak or edge but can do most everything the others can.
There are a few vids at midwestfoamplanes.com

I learned a lot of the basics with mine. IMO the sbach is better to learn on because it isnt quite as easy to fly as the edge or yaks.
