The plan is to fly 3 rounds on Saturday. If we have 25 pilots, we should finish around 4:30pm on Saturday so that everyone has time to get ready for dinner at Mike Barbee's house. On Sunday we will fly the unknowns and then a round of knowns (Basic will fly 2 known rounds) and then a short Freestyle round. We should be easily finished by 2pm to give everyone a chance to get home on the holiday weekend. I try to run a well organized event so you will see little downtime during the contest with very quick judge rotations between classes. I also expect each pilot to be in the air before the previous pilot finishes the sequence. This can save hours and allows us to get in more rounds of flying.

That is pretty cool. Here is a closer image from Google Earth. I count 30 planes in the pits (one on the runway).

Unfortunately, the field does not have power.

That was not last year photo, it is 2010 cause I see all my stuff. Tent, Canopy, Plane, Raffle Planes on picnic tables and my van....

Man it looks like you guy's had an amazing day at it! Hope all went well for you guy's and that the party at Mike's tonight is a blast! Hope to see some updates on the scores before I get off shift tonight! All of you have great day tomorrow and hopefully I will see some of you in Jackson next month if I can get home in time. Contest finished up around 1:15pm today (Sunday). Results will be posted a bit later after I relax in the air conditioning - it was HOT this weekend.
We had a great photographer (Mike Franzese) from our club who probably took around a 1000 pictures and alot of video. Here are all of the pilots from Saturday. Expect many more photos over the next few days. Thanks to all of the pilots that drove long distances (including 4 from Illinois).

Here are the final score totals. More details to follow later.
FYI - Scott Howard and Mark Radcliff didn't fly on Sunday. Jon Parquette only flew on Sunday.
