I'm using the latest firmware 4.22 and have not changed any other settings but did disable the low voltage cutoff. I only have four flights on the yak but hoping for some better weather soon. So far I couldn't be happier with this setup and are looking to use the same setup in a EF 88" Edge. If you need the exact settings or any other data just ask.

OK thanks a lot. I'll be flying in another month, after the holidays. I'll see how it all comes together, it seems like the last firmware did wonders for the big 160f ESC running these high impedance motors. I am looking forward to this plane.

So what airframe are you mounting the GA6000 in?

Hey guys, just thought I would chime in here. Just did a quick test with my GA6000 on 12S with a Falcon beechwood 24x10...watt meter showed 5200watts and 130Amps.
Got this for the 2M Badan Vertigo I'm currently building...the power is going to be insane, roughly 288watts per pound, give or take depending on the final weight of the plane. |

This is the build thread:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2503308 Pretty much finished, just have to get a few "small but important items" buttoned up and test fly. And then there is the weather. It's been a real winter this year (we've had no winter for the last 4 years so it's actually come as a a surprise we can't fly every day, like we have gotten used to). ![]() |

Looks like a great build I've always liked the lines of the PC-21. The GA6000.8 should be a great combo with this airframe. I hope you can get some video when you get the plane in the air.
One thing that I have noticed with the GA6000.8 is that the mounting bolts and standoffs supplied with the motor are 5mm but the mounting holes on the motor are 6.2mm |

Maidened my new Pilot 88" Extra 330sc with the Dualsky G6000.8 last weekend. Pretty ballistic performance. So much so that purchased a second G6000.8 for my current build, an Extreme Flight 91" Yak.
Here are a few stats: - Mezon 130a ESC with built in BEC - Mejzlik 23x10EL carbon fiber prop - 2 Revo 6s 435 blend LiPo's 5000mAh - 6 minute flights - Pilot 88" Extra 330sc, 18.6lbs AUW I didn't get any RPM or watts readings. Maybe next time out. Here are a couple of quick cell phone vids showing the pull out power.

Just great, now you gave me another bad idea!!!!!
I already have all the other stuff, just need an airframe, esc, and motor....... I was looking at an EF 90 ish inch airframe... Good to know this. It worked really well in my 103" P47 with an all up weight of 30lbs |

Timing is for sure most important parameter, higher switch freq. only generates more heat in the motor I will try with 12kHz. Claus |

Nash, Great job on the GA6000 install. The pilot kits with the self install firewall make for a clean electric conversion without the need for standoff. The vertical performance is awesome keep the videos coming.

Disclaimers: 1) This video is not about piloting skills as I'm not a very good pilot. I can't even do rolling harriers so it's pretty boring stuff. The idea is to show the power of the Dualsky. 2) It's a hat cam video so probably difficult to watch on a small screen like a cell phone. Best viewed in full screen mode on a PC. 3) It was my first time flying this plane at this particular field which has a very short runway for small electrics only.
