I had a chance to fly with Suds this week. I've got the v1 G6000.8 in my 91" Yak that has amazing power. Video a couple of pages back. However, Suds' purpose built electric Extra has a weight advantage on my Yak. Unbelievable power to weight ratio. I remember commenting that his plane has the pull out power of my 60" birds. Nice flying by the way too Rob!!

May I ask you two guys what ESC you are using with the G6000.8? Thanks.

Thank NashVegas. The reason I ask is I am not sure if the Dualsky ESC as a recommended pairing has enough capacity in it. I know it's cheaper, but uncertain about it for a future project. Any thoughts guys?

It (Dualsky 130a ESC) should be fine with the 130A continuous and 150A peak ratings.

I don't know how well the Hobbywing Flyfun V5 160A ESC works with 28 pole motors. If it doesn't have any timing issues, it would be a good choice at a reasonable price.

I'm rewinding this motor right now to run on 14S in my Corvus 60cc.
Really good construction quality. The stator includes 4 locking keys (anti-rotation) which is a really nice feature.

Hi ronaldopn. I am interested to see you rewinding G6000.8. Furthermore, what you have found about the construction quality, which is good, provides me with some reassurance. I have three of these motors and so far they seem to be performing very well.

Thanks, rewind is complete, you can check the updates on the link. I just need to take the shaft to a friend from work so he can cut M10 threads at the tip (I use electric props only).

Moved my GA6000.8 V2 into an Extreme Flight Mega Turbo Bushmaster and it pulls the big plane around with authority. I'm right at the max 140-amps recommend for 15s peaks with a Xoar PJN 25x12 prop. Rarely will I use all of the available power as this plane floats but it is good to know the extra power is on tap should I need it to pull out of a hover. Also going to try a 25x10 prop.

Nice video clip there, suds. Enjoyed it all.
As I say I am pleased with these motors and it's interesting what other users think.

Great flying Rob, specially for a maiden
Nice flying site too, just a bit restricted for my taste (those power lines look too close).
What is your average flight time on the BM with this setup?

Thanks for the compliment.
The field is a little tight on space with street and power lines to the left and full scale runway to the right. But it's only a 10 minute drive and actually helps preserve battery power as you spend more time in close. There are a few other fields further away that I visit but spend the most time at this one. Also helps that we installed a 900w -24v solar system to allow charging these larger packs quickly.

I was getting 7-9 minute flights with the 6200mah packs even with the winds of the day using consumption telemetry.

GA6000.8 keeps cranking out the flights. Quite the powerhouse.
This one is controlled by the new Esprit Elite 165HV ESC.
