I have attached a picture of what the final product will be like (image is a Challenger). Includes all hardware, spinner, hinges etc.. as seen in the image. I will also have a decal package available for those who want to finish it like my full-scale. Price for the airplane ready-to-cover will be less than $2000 and can be purchased with a 3W-157 for around $4000. I have personally modified the plans for this plane to be like the real one. Pass the word to anyone you know who may want one. I need to get about ten confirmed to make the shipping from Germany work out for the pricing. Other sizes can be made if there is enough demand. Probably need at least ten to get it done.
Thanks!

Skip
That's really nice Skip. I love the sharp spinner and cowl.

So 150cc and 50cc kit. No 100cc options? Any pricing on the kit?

Nice color scheme Skip. I'd like to see this airplane in an affordable ARF.

Re: Skip Stewart's Prometheus

The plane has been test flown! Skip has been working on the full scale one lately, so we haven't got many flights on the model.

Everything went well on the test flight. The airplane took very little trim, and flew like it weighed nothing. Honestly, I don't think the wing loading is going to be high enough to do many "scale" maneuvers with it. Should make for a great 3D platform though! Intense aerobatics were limited, being the first few flights and all. One scale maneuver it did very well was a 5/8th's inside loop to a tumble on a 45 downline. Except for the lack of noise, it looked almost like the full scale.

With the 3W 157, it's got way more power than most pilots will ever need. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's "overpowered", but it does have some oomp. I expect to loose some low end pull, but gain some high end speed, when we go to the 3 blade prop. It's got a Menz 32X10 on it right now.

I took some pictures of the fuel tank, engine, radio, and canister installation, but unfortunately they are really too blurry to be any good.... Skip has the plane now, so the next time we fly it, I'll get some more pictures. Hopefully better lighting will help.

Honestly, I don't think the wing loading is going to be high enough to do many "scale" maneuvers with it.

Maybe Skip should put a 4 banger up front, move the batteries and whatnot back to compensate, That way you increase the wingloading and make it sound real good.
Glad to hear that the Maiden was sucessful.
