Any of you convert a 40 sized warbird to E-power?
Yo fellas,
A friend of mine gave (yes, gave) me a new in the box Kyosho P-51 Mustang 40 ARF. Not being one for warbirds, I thought I would do something unique with it and convert it to E Power. Not having a ton of extra time and a lot of projects ready to start I can't devote a ton of time learning all the theory, but I know how it all works. So, if any of you have done this size project, please let me know what equipment (motor, ESC and batteries) you used. I suppose I would like it to haul A$$. It will be about 7 pounds with retracts. Thanks! |

YES. I have a p51 by hanger 9. Eflite power 60 with castle 80 amp speed control. The packs are (2) 3s 4200 packs in series for 6s config. Plane ends up 7.5 lbs with plenty of power and flight time.. jim
