Looks great jerry!

How does she fly compared to the 3.1cs?

Well jason has not really let anyone else fly the mx because he is having so much fun with it. It is really hard to compare planes at joe nall because one eye is on your airplane and thd other is kn the five other planes in the sky. I can say jason is extremely happy with it so far.

Hey Earle. We were going for as scale as possible. Thanks.

Brian. The top is insignia blue. We went with a very simple scheme thinking we might cut or move something to get it to fly better. As it stands now we won't change very much if anything.

The thing flys awesome, well for the few minuets I snuck out to the flight line when Jason wasn't looking.

my old 2.6 has been used and abused..... looking for an upgrade... though my current gear would fit the 2.7 SR nicely

Extra 2.7

Since this thread seems to be everything Jtec, here is my new 2.7 300. I will be flying it in IMAC and at the worlds in September.
It is powered by a Hacker Q80-6L, 27x10 Falcon prop and 10000mAhr 12S batteries. Futaba BLS177 servos on aileron and rudder, BLS175 on elevators. I shortened the ailerons and reduced the size of the elevator and rudder, no 3D for this bird. I have test flown it and it has more than enough control authority for IMAC with more scale like surfaces.
It weighs 21lbs without batteries, so it will be about 27lbs with enough batteries for 2 sequences.

Cheers - Greg

I am using a MGM 250 Amp speed control. It turns the Falcon 27x10 6400 rpm at 165 Amps or 7000W.

Sorry guys if I'm off topic but how do you find the MGM speedy, ie no lengthy dead spot at the bottom of the stick like the jedi, nice and smooth and how is the telemetry. Is it user friendly.

Cheers

I am quite happy with the MGM speed controller. I have never flown a Jeti, but the throttle control feels fine to me. It is quite configurable with a PC application that is easy to use. You can set the endpoints down to the microsecond have the power come on where ever you want.
The instructions were translated to English, but are quite extensive. The telemetry is only compatible with some European radios but the data logging works well and you can monitor the data real time on a PC if you are doing ground testing. The PC app graphs the data or you can save it in text or Excel format.
I tried some bigger props than the Falcon CF 27x10, which were too much load for the Q80-6L and caused commutation issues with the ESC.
One of the best features is an on/off switch that allow you to power down the unit with a small switch. It allows you to plugin the batteries and button up the canopy and have the plane sit safely until you are ready to fly.
