It's the plane, not the phone. It likes to fly inverted.

Good job on the turtle deck fit.

Hey Jerry, how's the build going? I know your not doing a build thread but how bout some pics? And that turtledeck went really easily after reading your tips on the soldering wire trick. There can be zero other ways to do it right , without a million trial cuts.

Very nice looking plane Terry,

Brian, I'm glad you like the wire trick. My build is coming along, but slow. I have been busy at work and have not been able to get much done. I have to travel to Michigan again next week.

Nice plane terry, you have inspired me to get mine finished. Weather been too bad to fly here. I would also like to see where people have put things so I can get a rough idea for the C of G. Few more pics (glad the cowls nearly done sick of sanding)

finished wing stickered up

After six months of building, I finally did the maiden on my 3.1m today! I was blown away at how the plane flew!!! The characteristics of the plane were very good and precise, it literally flew like it was on rails! The snaps were super precise. I went with a DA 170 on re3's and it had plenty of power, doing uplines at half throttle. Thanks Al and Kevin for cutting the kit for me! This was my first giant scale build and my third kit overall. It was also my first time using foam cored wings. Overall the build was a fantastic experience! I am extremely happy with how it turned out!
Thanks,
Matt

We also added nav lights to the wing tips and vertical fin. The video shows one flash pattern. The board we made can turn the lights on and off as well as switch between three flash patterns using the transmitter.

Jtec Extra 300cs 3.1m nav lights (0 min 18 sec)
