Yes- I'm using an E-Flight 160 on mine. Lots of guys using this motor on this plane on 10S. Check out the long thread on RC Groups:

One bit of advice- I originally was using a CC80HV controller since I had one already and it worked fine for a while- one day while hovering then going full throttle to pull out- I lost power. I am pretty sure that it was just pulling too many amps... after some minor repair to the gear (broke off one of the carbon legs during the "landing") I replaced it with a CC120HV and has worked great.

Most people that I have read about are using the 20-10 APC electric prop with this motor on this plane. Power is way more than adequate for pattern or 3D.

Thank you for your reply. I bought a CC HV 120 for your same concerns. Thanks for sharing. I bought a 20-10 or 20-11 APCe prop yesterday.

I'm really lookng forward to getting this together and flying. Still waiting on the motor because it was not delivered on time.

What are you using to ream props out to fit the 12mm shaft? I tend to have problems using step drill bits and keeping the hole perfectly round and centered. I ordered a 12mm tapered reamer online and anticipate better results.

I went through all of the RCG 78 Extra thread and finally bought one for my son. After many discussions, I did buy the Hacker A60-16M motor and am now testing the 22x10 Xoar PJN and the 22x10e Mejzlik with 10S and the CC Ice2 HV120 ESC. All I can say so far is... perfect. 3700W and 97A, so this is a real powerhouse setup.

My friend bought the same motor to convert his gas version to electric from the Syssa setup. My son flew my friend's plane at the recent Deland Huckfest and here's a video. This 78 gas version is 11 ounces heavier than the e-version we built but you can still see how much authority this power system has... this is with the 22x10 Xoar.

i have just purchased this plane from EF and am looking forward to it.
i will be installing a saito fg 36 cc gasoline engine, 4 stroke. it will turn an 18 x 8 prop at 8000 rpm.
i will also be using a tech aero IBEC.
i will also install a fiji tank 500 ml.
now, i need your help.
which servos are you all using?
how many servos do i need?? (1 rudder, 2 elevator, 2 aileron, 1 throttle)?
what in/ou servos for rudder/aileron/elevator minimal?
are you guys using standard receiver, or are you guys using a power safe vs smartfly vs power box?
are you guys installing the rudder servo in tail for push/pull?
think those are all the questions i have for now.

Hi Guys here is my Scorpion F3A motor setup on my Inversa with CC120HV. can anyone give me information on setting the timing with this motor with the Castle Creations ESC. I have had problems in the past using other brand esc.
