E-Flite 1.5 m Air TractorOn floats

I Have been flying the Air Tractor off snow with my painted matching floats since I received my pre order Over a month ago First test flight on wheels the light Aluminum gear is way to light and if not greased in the plane starts to porpoise I had ordered the optional floats, took the standard gear off painted the floats to match the plane and have been flying it off the snow Here in the Black Hills of SD here is a video I did just over two weeks ago

Works 100 % better than Ski's, All Ski's do in deep powder Snow is dig in and Flip you plane. Ski's are used in Alaska for hard packed snow and Bush Pilots will not land in deep soft snow. Think about it, it's known as LGP (Low Ground Pressure) just like heavy Construction Equipment, Dozer's with 3 & 4 ft. Wide tracks so they do not sink in the tundra or mud
PS. Thank You for the nice compliment. This plane will make any body Look good LOL!!!!!

I find it much more gratifying and it will make you look like a better Pilot LOL I have Five planes I never take the floats off of. My new Air Tractor, 2.1 Cessna 150, S2 CUB, The E-1500 Twin Cargo , Timber and the new UMX Turbo Timber. Once all the snow is gone I head to the lakes. and Our new AMA Club has a damn on the Property WE can float fly from, Come On Spring !!!! Hopefully it will stay Warm so when I do go flying (almost every day) I will not have to drees up like an Eskimo LOL!!!!!!
