For those who are also following the "caller" thread,..this is where I need my caller the most.
After studying and flying back to back unknowns,...I don't have a chance of remembering known sequences. let alone getting the unknowns right.
Mike,.....I gonna need all the directions I can get! Left, right, up, down, etc....etc.

Re: "SE" Regional Championship Nov.14-16

I have a 2 part question,......
#1) I was looking at the way other regions are keeping track of their points and noticed it doesn't look like they count the contest points for non IMAC members, But here in the Southeast we do. Why?

#2) If a pilot is in the top 10 but is not an IMAC member, do they still get invited to the IMAC regional championships, or do they get skipped over, and the next IMAC member is selected.

monty, not to worry brother.. no NON IMAC member will be allowed to compete at the regionals,(skipped over) and those non imac members that are on the points standing currentlycarry no points value, they equal ZERO to us.. pride just put them in the mix, as they had 30 days to join, and if not that contest dodn't count... do not worry,, non members are entitled to Zero points period! the current rules cover this clearly...

Thanks Don,
It cant get clearer than that.
But I don't get it. Why spend all that time and money going to contest and not have your points counted??
Its only $20.00 for crying out loud to join! And it sure would go a long way in the IMAC organization if everybody who
competed in IMAC would pay up.

Yes this is something that I also would to see, if it is your 1st contest and you want to give IMAC a try then it is OK to try it 1st but if you like IMAC and want to do it again then you SHOULD join !

Yep.
I just counted all the people who competed this year in the Southeast alone, and am surprised there where 98 pilots who where non IMAC. not all Basic guys either.
I was really surprised to see some of the upper class pilots who just don't bother to join too.

If they had to join in order to fly then they most likely would. If they want us to be there when they want to play then they should support us !

The whole ideal here was to have the Basic guys come to the regionals and they would have to move up to sportsman class.

I know what you are talking about. Guys will spend 10k on an airplane but will not pay 20.00 to join. The same thing happens in IMAA, but at least you cant fly if you dont join.
