Re: NEW DL222

I've done plenty of research and I havent been able to find any pics of the DLE222 Internals to prove it either way.

Sure it will be no stunning DA200 but its less than half the price. So as long as it puts out good power and lasts half as long as a DA I'm happy. DLE is much bigger than it was with the first DL50s and even then they replaced engines and components that failed and I am sure they will still support thier new products just as well.

Anyway I'm prepared to give it a go - might point out I am not biased I own several DA's and love them too.

Stirlo , way to go with the MORE CUBES , nothing sounds like a 31 x 12 x 3 blade
at full noise on an up line . The four banger is going to be very sweet .

All you need now is a nice Yak to put it in ,or may be one of the new sukhoi (spelling)
from the compy boys . 3.0 with 222 up front would make a nice new ride for the masters .

keep us posted on the build and flight .

Stu

Ps I just saw the AUD price , @ 1799.00 I'll take two and make a flat 8 LOL

This isn't directed towards you Stirlo, just a general observation. I find it funny that people don't expect DL to match the quality of DA from the get go, yet are still happy to save a few bucks at the cost of quality, service, and the kind of experience 10+ years in the game brings. I understand that cost is a big factor for the majority of people in our hobby (Including myself), but when it comes down to it a DA engine is an investment that is backed by a company that prides itself on quality and customer service. If you're not happy they will do what it takes to make you happy. DL has a ways to go before getting to that level.

Moral of the story..... I can't afford to buy cheap.

A pair of DLE-111's is $1400. Economys of scale should price the whole as less than the total of the parts. This motor is overpriced at $1700.00 in MHO!!!
