Also I used the stock standoffs with an additional sae washer to get the spacing seen between the cowling and true turn spinner. I had the 3inch spinner custom made for the falcon prop.

You dont have to butcher the cowling to fit the dle 55ra lol

I've made a couple orders from him before without any issues, quick, and efficient. Order them, nobody else sells them, they were out of stock until recently, I'm sure they'll disappear.

Personal preference, Just ignore the trolling comments and move on. Lets leave it at that please here.

2/pkg last time I read it. PR's were $125 new..... AirTops have ball bearings, look like a great product that nobody else is currently offering.

Don't poke the bear. Also order overseas if it bugs you. It will take longer.

Right on!! 4 3/4"? gotcha! Thanks for that.
Manual states 3.5" for sport flying and 4" for STOL. 4" is hanging from the wing tube.

Are you bevel to bevel on the elevators?

Can you tell me more about the spinner? I just found out that the falcon 3" spinner will not fit the falcon 23x8 prop. So I ordered up a center bolt carbon spinner.

48 degrees on the elevators which is the max I can get with the 1.5 inch arms.

Just go to true turns website. Order a three in spinner and get it drilled for your engine and custom cut for your prop. It took them about a week to make. 85 bucks was well worth the money.

I started at the wing tube but it wing rocked bad at high alpha and fought me in a hover. It also would dive in a 3/4 throttle inverted 45 degree climb. 4 and 3/4 holds the line perfect. It needs knife edge mixing but have not had a chance to mess with that due to all the rain in south Louisiana.

Crow is ridiculous and spoilerons helps with the best walls ever for a high wing.

Inverted flat spins are nice and flat. Over all I'm happy with this plane. It will go out to the field along side my 3dhs 106 edge v2.

Thanks for the info!
I just came across the NoLimitz Spinners, They have four screws holding on the spinner verses six like EF and Falcon. So the NL would probably fit a larger prop.

These are the options I have found. OEM, AirTops or 8.5" from China. The AirTops are 8.0". I would like to see the PR's come back but who knows.

Anyone know what the axle size is for the timber 110 or if the Airtop 8" will fit using the stock Ball bearings? I have 6" Kavans but I want the 8" wheels for the extra clearance for my 23in prop.

From what I looked at and ordered the axle size for the Air Tops is 6mm I hope that helps you.

How big and what kind of fuel tank are you using?
Thanks,
Gary

17 oz Extreme Flight tank. I get roughly 20 mins of flight time. Full throttle on the 55ra is not necessary in normal flight.

Yeap but I was making sure the 6mm bearing would fit the stock axle.

I ordered a set of Airtop 8"...... Man they are 22oz and the Kavan 6" are 7oz. I will have to play with weight to get the CG were I want it again. LOL

Just an FYI. If you order the 8" airtops, they Will Not fit the stock axle. The ID of the bearings are not the right size and the axle length is too short. You will need to order the 6mmx100mm axles and cut them down to the right length.
I got a pair of new shoes that dont fit yet

I had to make my own axles for the PR's as well. Used a 1/4" bolt and some bushings to fit into the XCub Gear.

Airtops

Just as an FYI. I work colleague here purchased a set of the airtops and ran into the same issue with the axles not fitting the bearings.
On that one. I opted to change the bearings and not the axel. Tamiya do an 8x10mm bearing that is a direct fit and slides on the 8mm axle. I cant remember what the Timber 110 axle is?

Regards Ali.
