Best hobby shops

I travel all over the country for work and I�m curious to see if there are any hobby shops worth visiting along the way. If you have a particular one that you find outstanding, I�d love to hear about it.

My top pic is in Des Moines Iowa. It is called Hobby Haven. Rick is the RC plane guy, and he knows his stuff! They are always extremely helpful and are quite competent.

There used to be one in Memphis called Action Hobbies. I dont know if it's still there tho, I havnt been to Memphis in years. It was Really a sweet shop tho...had everything.

Hobby Hangar in Chantilly Va is a great place. Debbie's RC world in Chesapeake VA was a good shop till it closed.

Another notable thing about Graves is all the aircraft hanging from the ceiling and cars, truck, heli's, etc. etc. displayed throughout the store.
I think there are some of the first ever transmitters in those glass cases as well. A lot of really cool stuff, I mean a lot!!!

That's what I loved about the old shop in Memphis, the hanging planes. There were so many you couldn't put up another one. About 90% were on consignment...you could literally stop by and pick up a plane and be flying it in an hour !!!

Anyone know if Don's Hobby shop in Salina, KS is still in business?

I know the shop switched ownership several years ago.

I used to but a ton of merchandise from them.
