Futaba Repair Service.

Read the two attachments pay attention to the dates. I know for fact that mine isn't the only experience like this. Make your own inferences. I'm not going to add to the fray, this is purely informational.

I appreciate how you presented the information. Am I reading this correctly -this took 4 months to turnaround?

Yep. 4 months before the technician looked at it, and fixed it same day. According to UPS, it's supposed to arrive this Thursday the 16th of May.

More food for thought, the bill was $67.83 for a pot, shipping was another $26.84 (cheapest offered).

This is just one more reason why Tony at Radio South will always get my vote when repairs or servicing is needed.

Well that was certainly a swing and a miss. Sorry you had this experience.

I know of a few who have waited for months to get service at Futaba. My servos were sent
back to me unserviced . I have already moved on.

Was that with FutabaUSA or Hobbico/Horizon last year?

I know of a quite a few other stories like mine from Futaba USA. I can live with the turn around time - I get it, they are new and learning, trying to shore up supply lines, etc. They have good excuses. Just tell us whats up - own it. Parts manpower, events - whatever - dont tell me 4-6 weeks, then string me along for 4 months without reaching out and letting me know. There was no reason to keep me in the dark. Bad form.

... more than I wanted to say.

My $180 BLS-157 was "unserviced" by "Hobby Services". It is still in a box in the basement, unserviced.

When would that have been? Futaba USA has been out on their own since about April of last year. Hobby Services has basically been out of the repair anything business since they declared Bankruptcy about January of last year.

I sent my Anniversary 18SZ in to Futaba USA for a switch change. They told me 3 to 4 weeks, it got back here at almost exactly 4 weeks.

FWIW, Hobby Services was the Hobbico run service department. If you got caught just as Hobbico went under it probably slipped through the cracks.

Please, lets not obfuscate the OP. If you had issues with Hobby Services, start another thread. My point was to improve service from Futaba USA, or at least let folks know they might have better options that are more up front with turn around times.

And FWIW I have made FutabaUSA aware of this thread.
