Carbon Fiber CNC

Who knows where I can get some wing ribs CNC cut? They are ~8.6 inches long, 3mm thick, I need four.

From idea to delivered items. No more worries about mounting aileron servo’s in the ribs.

Very nice.

Are you going to overlay those on the current ribs or replace them?

Just replace them because they are super strong. I will hysol a 1mm carbon fiber capstrip on them for peace of mind and here I will laminate balsa for sanding and the overall look of an all balsa wing.

Awesome, Thought i saw your thread,

Im looking at the Bellanca XXL 3.4M - Really Nice plane.
see it uses the same mounting for the servo but at lease this has thick wings to a bit more wood there to mount to. But not ins the stabs, Can i ask is your stabs removable for transport.?

The stabs are removable, they are held on by flying wires. I am going to change slightly to three wires and one piece to brass tubing per side just to be a little more scale

Ahh Very good, I saw the Bellanca stabs and was like how do these stay on .lol But i see the wires do all the work, i did think i could place a screw from the top of the stab into the fuse as there is flat part there but wasn't sure how it would look.

Well this is good to know as i need irremovable stabs for transport.

Cheers for that.
