Awesome job Chris! Im so excited about the Laser. How will the weight compare to your other planes in this size range? Hoping it's on the Yak end of the spectrum, I'd love to put my backup DA60 on one.

The Laser on display at Toledo was powered by our Xpwr 60 and 12S 6000 mah batteries and has a ready to fly weight of just under 21 pounds with over 6000 Watts of power which is right at 300 Watts/pound, which is insane!
I will begin assembling the DA-70 powered version this week which should finish out right around 20 pounds which is extremely light for a plane this size. It is the largest of the 91" airframes by far.

I am in love....my very first GS was a kit built 86" Laser with a Zenoah G62 in it. This airframe, now that it is larger, is calling my name big time! Brings back many good memories of watching Leo wring out his Laser at the Sussex air show.

Exactly!! ...I wish we had the canopy off for the interview. This new line of Slick 580's are incredible. Not only with the revived airfoils and aileron wing ratios but the structure of these are truly "next generation Rc" all the way from the tail wheel to the supplied engine fiberglass engine baffles.
The carbon substructure is like no other! Included is a carbon tube not only holding the horizontal stabs securely in place just as the other 120cc EF airframes but we also add one going up through the vertical stab as well. If there are any doubts about the strength and ability to handle the new XA type of flying, rest assured this airframe has been tested!!
Our production model shown at Toledo weighed in at just under 26lbs ready to fly with batteries installed!!! With a weight like that it's undoubtedly just as at home flying low and slow as it is flying precision and XA!!

The New Slicks are a must have for sure!!

Is there any chance of using the 2 into 1 canister exhaust setup on the DA70, or what is the preference for this air frame? ETA? This is one sweet looking Laser. Even with the 3D surfaces it's a very good representation of the real deal.

We are shooting for release before the end of Summer. The Laser will accept the 2 into 1 header/canister.

Sounds great. Do you mind sharing which exhaust you'll be installing on the one you're assembling, and also do you know the the 2 into 1 header drop?
